Utah Concrete Contractor: SEO, Social Ads Case Study

Discover how multi-channel SEO and Meta Ads delivered 5,600+ site sessions and built early search visibility for a Utah concrete contractor.

Services Used:

Project Overview

Based in Herriman, Utah, this specialized concrete contractor serves residential homeowners and commercial property managers across the Wasatch Front, including Salt Lake City, Sandy, Park City, and Logan. The company specializes in restoring existing concrete surfaces without expensive tear-outs, providing expert concrete resurfacing, structural repair and restoration, stained and polished concrete flooring, and driveway restoration. To build market presence in a competitive local contractor landscape and establish a sustainable lead engine, the company partnered with our agency in early 2026 to launch a multi-channel growth initiative spanning SEO, Meta social ads, and paid search.

The Challenge

Launching digital marketing efforts without a prior organic foundation presented immediate acquisition obstacles:

  • Non-Existent Organic Footprint: The brand's domain had virtually no organic search history or Semrush traffic footprint, leaving them invisible to homeowners searching online for local concrete restoration.
  • Delayed Organic Ramp-Up Window: Because building organic search rankings requires time, the business needed an immediate acquisition channel to generate homeowner inquiries while backend SEO authority was established.
  • High Competition in Local Trades: Standing out against established regional concrete and paving contractors across Salt Lake and Summit counties required capturing active social media interest alongside commercial search intent.

Our Approach

We deployed an integrated Service-Page SEO, Multi-Channel Paid Social, and Search Engine Marketing Strategy engineered to generate immediate traffic while establishing long-term organic authority.

  • Foundational Service Page Expansion: We built out dedicated, technical service pages for core service lines, specifically concrete resurfacing, concrete repair and restoration, driveway restoration, and polished concrete flooring, establishing clear search silos for search engine indexing.
  • 6-Month Content Roadmap & Topical Authority: We authored ongoing technical blog content and deployed a 6-month topical roadmap focused on local driveway care, decorative overlays, and concrete polishing queries across Salt Lake and Summit counties.
  • Paid Social Lead Generation Engine (Meta Ads): To generate immediate local homeowner traffic, we launched targeted ad campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, and the Audience Network, putting visual before-and-after project transformations directly in front of homeowners across target zip codes.
  • Multi-Channel Paid Search & Retargeting: We deployed Google Ads search campaigns targeting high-intent residential queries to capture immediate demand during peak home improvement seasons.
  • Conversion & Event Analytics Setup: We integrated conversion tracking to measure user engagement, click-to-call actions, and web form inquiries across all paid and organic traffic sources.

Results

From January through October 2026, the integrated marketing program established a reliable stream of regional traffic, generated early conversion events, and built a growing organic search footprint.

  • 5,600+ Total Site Sessions Generated: The campaign drove 5,672 total sessions from 4,958 active users, with 5,034 representing brand-new site visitors.
  • 82% Traffic Driven by Paid Social: Meta advertising delivered immediate, reliable traffic volume, accounting for ~82% of total site sessions (2,015 from Facebook, 1,850 from Audience Network, and 733 from Instagram) and generating 30 key conversion events.
  • Early Organic Keyword Gains: Built from near-zero, Google organic search produced 224 sessions and 14 key conversion events, with total organic keywords expanding by 14% to 24 tracked terms.
  • Page-One Ranking Trajectory: A strong cluster of organic terms moved into striking distance of Page One, including 2 terms in positions 11-20 (led by “concrete polishing salt lake city” at #16) and 11 terms climbing through positions 21-30.
  • Growing Brand Recognition: Direct site visits accounted for 372 sessions and 23 key events, demonstrating expanding brand awareness across the Wasatch Front alongside ad activity.

Takeaway

New service area contractors cannot rely on organic search alone during their early launch phase. By pairing immediate, visual paid social advertising (Meta Ads) with structured service-page SEO and a long-term content roadmap, home service contractors can secure immediate job inquiries while systematically building Page-One search authority.

What’s Next?

We are focusing on accelerating the 13 keywords sitting in positions 11-30 onto Page One through targeted content depth and internal link structuring. Concurrently, we are executing the remaining 6-month content roadmap, launching a refreshed Facebook Ads campaign, revisiting high-intent Google Ads search structures, and refining lead tracking models to measure phone calls and form submissions directly within monthly reporting.
